Trauma

Trauma is an invisible wound that can lead us to feel large unprocessed emotions. These emotions can disrupt our daily lives, our motivation, and our ability to connect deeply with ourselves and others. With trauma, you may experience overwhelming emotions, disrupted sleep, or recurrent flashbacks. Others may experience trauma that leaves them feeling broken and hopeless.

It is common to compare our traumas to the traumas of others and feel undeserving of feeling hurt or receiving support. What is traumatic to one person and not another is based on our unique life experiences. Together, we can compassionately validate our unique wounds and give them the appropriate space to heal. Through this exploration, we develop self-compassion that can lessen the judgements we have about ourselves. As we continue to validate, we lessen our experience of rejection, isolation, and shame and make room for love and joy. In your exploration and the act of finding this site reflects the belief that you can heal and grow from the wounds that you have incurred.

To sleep and wake up rested and ready for life. To lean into the discomforts of life because they are worth it. To find space to love, trust and connect with others without being plagued by the fear of what might happen. To confidently know that no matter life’s challenges, we will be okay, because we have built a home within ourselves. To experience peace within moments of chaos. To know who we are, what we love, and to protect what is sacred.
